Resident Life

The University of Michigan’s supportive, team-oriented, collegial work environment is crucial to our in-hospital learning and enables us to best care for our patients.  Our “out of the hospital” life, however, is just as important to our well-being, and our residents love to get together outside of the workplace.  We have many active social groups – like Book Clubs, Stitching, Basketball, Climbing and more – and beyond these “formal” activities residents get together regularly to hang out and spend time together.

Our pediatric residents enjoy phenomenal benefits and are able to live in a wonderful college-town with many diverse activities, restaurants and areas to explore.  All of these factors help us show up to work ready to take care of patients and improve ourselves as physicians.  As resident, there simply isn’t that much more to ask for!
